Nilaveli Beach is one of Sri Lanka's most famous beaches, miles of white powdery sand and blue water. The shallow shore is perfect for safe swimming, snorkeling, or simply bobbing on the soft waves. Locally, it is also known as "Lovers' Leap" and is linked to a story of a princess who leapt into the sea after having a broken heart. Today, tourists go there for the breathtaking views, snapping, and tranquil atmosphere. On clear days, it is simple to spot whales migrating out to sea.

Trincomalee War Cemetery is one of Sri Lanka's six Commonwealth cemeteries, in good condition to honor soldiers who lost their lives during World War II. The temple is particularly chaotic during festival periods, when music, rituals, and traditional ceremonies fill it with vitality. Even outside festival times, it's a fascinating cultural experience.

Trincomalee Harbour is one of the world's largest natural deep-water harbors and has been strategically significant for centuries. Nowadays, its vastness can be seen from viewing points or boat tours can be enjoyed along the coast. The harbor has a past of colonial-era commercial and military importance, so it is a destination to go to for natural beauty as well as historic value.

A cluster of seven natural hot water wells, Kanniya Hot Springs have been in use since ancient times for bathing and cure. The temperature of each well is a little different, and the locals believe the waters to be medicinally valuable. Tourists can dip hands or feet into the wells or use buckets provided on the premises to take a plunge into the warm water. The springs are also identified with local legends related to King Ravana.

This view near Koneswaram Temple is among Trincomalee's finest photo points. The turquoise ocean, rocky shores, and never-ending horizon can be seen from here, especially beautiful during sunrise and sunset.
