A cluster of seven natural hot water wells, Kanniya Hot Springs have been in use since ancient times for bathing and cure. The temperature of each well is a little different, and the locals believe the waters to be medicinally valuable. Tourists can dip hands or feet into the wells or use buckets provided on the premises to take a plunge into the warm water. The springs are also identified with local legends related to King Ravana.
Short of driving all the way from Trinco, the Kanniya Hot Springs are seven small wells of hot water. The locals believe in the healing properties of the springs and spend their time bathing or simply soaking feet in them. It is a relaxing and unconventional cultural outing shrouded in old myths.
