Weijantha Prasada is situated in Polonnaruwa. It is a beautiful palace built by king Parakramabhau the great. Belongs to the Polonnaruwa era the palace has built-in the12th century. With over 1000 the rooms, Weijantha Prasada has had seven storeys in the past which have held on brick pillars. Weijantha Prasada is a great example to witness the luxurious lifestyles ancient kings of Sri Lanka have lived at the time. Although today the entire structure has been destroyed due to natural causes and foreign invasions you still can see the ruins that will give you an idea of the beauty of the place at the time
