Shrine of Our Lady of Matara is one of the most famous Roman Catholic Churches in Sri Lanka among Catholics. Adorned with Colonial architecture the church is 400 years old. Situated facing the beautiful Indian ocean, the building you see today is rebuild construction as the original church building was destroyed due to the Tsunami in 2004.
