Situated in Negombo St Mary’s church is one of the most popular churches in the area among tourists. With beautiful architectural elements and traditional catholic arts, the church was built during 1874- 1922. The ceiling paintings of alabaster images of many saints are one of the main highlights of the church. St Mary’s church was built following the neoclassicism style.
