Hummanaya Blow Hole, near the town of Dickwella on the southern coast of Sri Lanka, is Sri Lanka's and the world's largest blowhole. The fascinating natural phenomenon spouts seawater 25–30 meters into the air through a narrow crevice in the rock, creating a spectacular display with a thunderous roar. The origin of the name Hummanaya lies in the Sinhala word "hum," which denotes the sound it makes. Travellers can make the most of the lookout point observing the blowhole and the breathtaking seascapes surrounding it. Hummanaya is a should-not-miss destination for nature enthusiasts and photo enthusiasts touring southern Sri Lanka.
